CDC crosses the threshold of 10% of voting rights at Orange
On April 28, 2025, the Caisse des dépôts et consignations (CDC) crossed the threshold of 10% of Orange's voting rights, reaching precisely 10.01%. This crossing was made possible by the acquisition of shares on the market by CNP Assurances. Thus, the CDC now holds 317,489,415 shares, representing 11.94% of Orange's capital. These shares were acquired mainly by Bpifrance Participations and directly by the CDC.
The CDC also stated its intentions for the next six months. It does not plan to take control of Orange or participate in a shareholder agreement. Depending on the context, however, it could purchase or sell shares. No changes to Orange's board of directors are planned.
